Cooking Dinner…my kindness

For my act of kindness I choose  an elderly couple in my church who I did not know. The lady had a knee replacement surgery so I decided to make a meal of tuna pasta, biscuits, and cookies for her husband because she was in the hospital for a couple of weeks.

He wasn’t home when I first tried to give the meal to him. When I came back the next time, he was home but he didn’t hear us knock on the door or ring the doorbell.  There was a man next door who was working in his garage. We explained what we were trying to do.Then the neighbor gave us the phone number of the elderly couple. My mom called him on her cell phone and told him we were outside. When he came outside I gave the meal, and coin to him.

I think he was glad that he didn’t have to cook a meal since his wife was still in the hospital.

  1. Awww! That is so sweet! But don’t stop there! Continue being those sparks to the fire and feed it too. Don’t be ashamed if someone passes it on to you, embrace it (but don’t forget to pass it on as well)! ;)

  2. YOu are so kind, Claire!
